Everything you need to know
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Erin has been singing, telling stories and acting since she was old enough to speak and walk.
Erin earned her degree in Vocal Performance from Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music in 2008 and promptly moved to New York City to pursue musical theatre.
Shortly there after, Erin found herself, as many young Broadway-hopefuls do, faced with the sobering reality that in NYC, the need to make money often takes precedence over going to auditions. She tried to find a middle ground and started a performance-based children's entertainment company, New York Princess Party. The company was featured in DailyCandy Kids, Time Out NY and Crain's Business and Erin remains the company's President and Creative Director.
It was also in the Big Apple that Erin began filling her stir-crazy winter days with cooking. She practiced complicated recipes in her bite size kitchen, and blogged about them.
Blogging served as a great creative outlet and helped Erin to find her voice as a writer. In 2012, Erin moved back to Los Angeles, where she continued to write freelance. She penned several articles for LA Confidential Magazine, FATHOMaway (a travel site), DailyCandy, Patch, The South Pasadena Review and Quarterly Magazine. She also began work on her debut novel, Party Girl - A Modern Fairy Tale, which is loosely based on her experience moving to NYC and starting New York Princess Party.
In the spring of 2013, Erin visited New Orleans on writing assignment for DailyCandy and to attend the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
She quickly fell in love with the city and its culture and in the fall of 2013, she packed up her dog and her life once more, and made the move to the Big Easy
She stayed in New Orleans for three years, teaching early childhood music at Carla's Musikgarten New Orleans, wrote a small business column for Biz New Orleans Magazine, and started a family photography business, Little Bird Photography.
Erin has returned to California and is currently based in Los Angeles, where she is writing freelance, doing photography and is in development on her Second Novel Have Baggage, Will Travel.
